The goverment provides one meal a day for the students level 1-5. For these children its the only meal a day and the main reason to even visit school.
After the goverment decided to exclude the children enrolled in level 6. to 11. Lankahelp decided in 2010 to provide these 160 children with a lunchpaket. Since march 2018 160 Children receive 3 x a week a complete meal with rice and Curry and twice a week the regular lunchpaket.
Additionally all 250 students, level 1-11, receive once a week a glass of milk and a fruit.
Because the parents were not able to pay for a yearly excursion, required by law, Lankahelp covers transportation costs and meals.
