Sathiyabama, a young woman from the mountains of Sri Lanka, was able to complete her studies with the help of a scholarship from Lankahelp. She was already the best in the whole Monaragala district (out of 2500 students) at the A-levels and was therefore able to start her studies without an aptitude test. Now she has achieved the unbelievable: she graduated as the best student of her year! Never before has a young woman from the mountains graduated with such distinction.
